Curriculum Vitae
Jens Henoch was born in Berlin in 1972. He studied Chemical Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) from 1992 to 1997.
He joined the Institute for Operations Research (IFOR) in May 1997. At the IFOR he developed an agent-based modeling and simulation framework for the domain of manufacturing. The novelty of this framework was in the integration of concepts from the fields of management cybernetics, production logistics management, artificial intelligence, and object-oriented concurrent programming applied to adaptive management systems in manufacturing. During his time at IFOR he was (co-) author of five scientific papers.
In 2002 he finished his Ph.D. thesis entitled "Towards Adaptive Management Systems in Manufacturing: An Agent-Supported Approach" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hans-Jakob Lüthi at the Department of Industrial Management and Manufacturing.
