I was a research assistant of Prof. Robert Weismantel at IFOR, ETH Zurich. My research activity included various topics in (Mixed-)Integer Optimization, Combinatorial Optimization, Discrete Optimization, Convex Optimization, and Discrete Geometry.
My doctoral thesis deals with maximal lattice-free polyhedra in mixed-integer cutting plane theory.
My major field of research was mixed-integer linear optimization.
I worked in collaboration with Kent Andersen, Gennadiy Averkov, Alberto Del Pia, François Margot and Robert Weismantel.
In addition, I dealt with problems in mixed-integer convex optimization, most notably the design of algorithms.
Projects were being performed in collaboration with Michel Baes, Timm Oertel, and Robert Weismantel.
Besides, I worked on robust risk management and portfolio optimization.
Here, I collaborated with Apostolos Fertis and Robert Weismantel.
Moreover, I was (and am still) always open to any kind of mathematical problem which is worth being investigated. Especially, when it is useful for practical applications.
